Cut yourself down

Humility, it’s often thought as a weak point but in reality it is the quintessential act of honing yourself. To know thyself is to not show yourself to others openly. It is the act of knowing your limits while simultaneously judging when and where to pounce. A humble person is often a patient person. Whereas, the cocky person may always deliver but they are often marred by mixed emotions such as anger.

How you choose to live your life is up to you. But consider this, the sharpest blade can turn on the owner – choose which blade to hone. The one forged in pride, ego, and arrogance or the one forged in silence, selective wisdom, and respect. With each comes with it’s own benefits and neither is a wrong choice.

Often times, these traits become core aspects of our personality. Which is why we need to wrangle them in early on. With success breeds misinterpretation this is the only way. Humility is often associated with weakness but until you meet someone humble, strong, and kind – you won’t know true strength. Sure there’s many ways to accomplish things – but remember, you have to live with that person for the rest of your life. After all, you can’t run away from yourself.
